Accreditations
GEMS International School Cairo is seeking future International Baccalaureate Program integration along with Cognia.
Cognia is the largest, well-reputed education accreditation agency in the world, catering chiefly to schools offering an American international curriculum around the world.
Cognia accreditation ensures that school improvement is at the heart of our educational programs and services to children and families. At this time, GISC has completed its Readiness Review:
“The institution is congratulated for its readiness efforts and its commitment to a quality educational program.”
GISC is planning for a full Cognia accreditation review in the Spring of 2023.
Planning is well underway for our authorization processes to become a full continuum school. The GISC leadership team and all staff are advancing their training to ensure a successful program at our new school.
GISC is proud to announce its membership in the United Nations Global Schools Program, and we have also recently gained affiliate membership in NESA (Near East South Asia Council of Schools).
The Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools is a non-profit association of private, independent American/international schools serving students and their families in North Africa, the Middle East and South Asia.
